About Ikebana Philosophy & Aesthetic

Originated in the 6th century, which  is the traditional art of floral arrangement emphasizing harmony, balance, and minimalism. Ikebana values simplicity, asymmetry, and the thoughtful use of space .

  • Rooted in Buddhism and Shinto traditions, Ikebana reflects a deep appreciation for nature and impermanence .
  • It follows the principle of "less is more," often using just a few stems arranged in geometric shapes (typically triangles) .
  • Negative space is crucial, creating a sense of movement and life .
